Description

La Voz que Clama en el Desierto is a reference from the Bible, where there are stories about Saint John the Baptist preaching in the desert to the local people. This beautiful saying translates to “The Voice that Cries Out in the Desert”.

La Voz was created by a handful of families in the late 1970s. The law dictated that the cooperative have a minimum of 25 people, hence each farmer registered their wife to meet the quota. They were determined to improve their quality of life and began embracing organic principles. La Voz became certified Organic in 1993, and today has at least 161 members, 61 of whom are women.

La Voz Arabica trees are cultivated in rich, volcanic soil under a diverse canopy of shade trees. Abbotsford Road has teamed up with La Voz and has produced their very first certified organic coffee that is a flavor bomb!

The coffee is bright and rich, with notes of red apple, goji berry, and a sweet cinnamony roll finish. This single origin is delicious– black or with a dash of milk. Your call!
